I did this picture on a tripod with a Caumet 4x5 camera using a discontinued but beautiful film called Kodak High Speed Infrared in 2003. It is an area that is adjacent to the forest at UBC, a place I decided would make a great setting for a picnic.
At the time, my partner would bring her grand daughter over to Vancouver from Victoria on the occasional weekend. Before she arrived Gaetanne would go to the endowment lands and hide little dolls, pixies in the magic forest. It was a wonderful and charming time.
I chose this because I wanted to make large prints of excellent quality. This particular image is part of a folio titled "A Search for Silence." It is a museum quality, archival Giclee print, made on Epson Hot Press Bright Rag Paper and is available in two editions and sizes. All prints are signed by the artist. Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The print is shipped unframed as framing choices are myriad and add substantially to the cost of shipping. I will be happy to offer advice on framing styles and resources for the print you choose.
The picture is available in the following sizes and editions. Once an edition has been filled, the picture will no longer be available in that size. No other sizes or editions will be offered.
